Vaco is working with an industry-leading manufacturing and distribution company that is looking for an Accounting Manager.
We need someone that will organize, manage, and really take ownership of the close process, to include developing schedules and checklists for every person involved with and every task related to the month end, quarter end, and year end close.
We need someone that will really own the balance sheet for three locations that combined do about two hundred million in annual revenue and manage and coach the AP and AR teams.
There will be a Financial Analyst available to make requests for data, dashboards, and financial reports, including variance analysis projects for various items and areas.
The Accounting Manager will manage an in-office team and a remote and distributed team and will have full leadership responsibilities within the accounting and finance department.
We would like to find someone that can really dig into the processes that are in place and question them and look to poke holes in them and look for more effective and efficient ways to do things.
Someone not afraid to challenge historical ways of doing things, be curious to explore new ways of doing things, and someone who will ask why do we do this and why do we do things this way.
Someone with a strong business sense and a great understanding of accounting/financial systems will do well in this role and should be able to take this division to the next level for strategy, insight, and efficiency.

This role will support a 3-location division that is doing two hundred million per year in revenue and is part of a larger international group doing over a billion in annual revenue.
Base salary will be in the 110k to 140k range depending on experience plus an annual bonus and 401k match program.
Hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote to start with, then moving to 2 days remote and 3 days in office for most weeks, excluding the month end close week.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
